The future is No-Code and Bubble.io is here to help you get ahead in this space with its features to build an entire SaaS product without writing a single line of code!

What is No-Code movement?

Do we really need engineers to build software products and websites? I don't think so. If you don't believe me, perhaps you should hear this from the pioneers of No-Code space:

Here's how Wade Foster, Co-Founder & CEO of Zapier describes what no-code is really about. He says,

...no code is really about empowerment. It's about helping folks who have ideas who want to get a job done — be able to do that stuff. They don't have to wait for engineering. They don't have to wait for IT to go make this stuff happen. They can use tools like Adalo, or Zapier, or a Webflow, or an Airtable, or what have you, to build the thing that works and solves the problem that they have.

Lots of people wonder about no-code platforms such as Bubble.io. Perhaps you too have similar questions. And, you're in luck! HelloMeets brings you answers to the 5 most common questions people have about Bubble and the reasons why they are considering using it (or not? Find out for yourself!) to build their SaaS products.

Before we dive into those common questions, let's recollect what makes Bubble.io stand out from the other no-code platforms.

Why you should use Bubble to validate your (SaaS) ideas

Through Visual programming, you can create any SaaS product or design a responsive website on Bubble and bring your ideas to life without writing any code.

Below are 3 features that make bubble stand out among the others.

  1. Customize UX - Build out your logic and make sure users are given the best experience as they navigate your app, click by click. With Bubble's dynamic containers and library of visual elements, you can create chats, news feeds, and other real-time features in no time.
  2. Integrate with anything - You can connect to any API using their no-code API connector, or even integrate Javascript plugins so that your Bubble app can do anything. In Bubble's plug-in marketplace, you can find a solution to any business problem, or you can create your own plugin for the no-code community.
  3. Scale your application - You can scale your app as your user base grows and scale up from a demo app to a large-scale enterprise application without requiring technical changes. Bubble lets you purchase only what you need at the time, so you do not have to pay for more than you need at the start.

Common Bubble Questions

In this section, we are going to go over some common Bubble questions that people ask on all sorts of platforms, such as Social Media, the No-Code community on Twitter, No-Code forums, and the Bubble forum before deciding to build their SaaS product or designing a responsive website on Bubble.io.

1. What are the steps we should follow to make Bubble App SEO friendly?

Building an app without code is easy. Building an app that is SEO friendly (code or no-code) is not so easy.

Here's one Bubbler that has done some research for you and is providing the solution to make your next Bubble App SEO friendly so you can attract some organic growth to your SaaS product.

2. How to create a mobile app with Bubble?

Many Bubblers would like to have their Bubble app or site converted into an iOS/Android App. This tutorial by John Mark lets you build a Bubble mobile app in less than 10 minutes for FREE!

3. Is the Bubble app scalable?

A fellow Bubbler, Sanju Joseph, asked this question after spending six months developing an app on Bubble. I know, it's scary to think about it.

Some people complained that the Bubble app can get sluggish when a certain number of people are using it at once. Also, Bubble.io doesn't mention anywhere in its plan how many users it can handle.

It seems like speed is one of the most important concerns for anyone with a Bubble app that wishes to scale up in the future.

4. What are the bubble plugins that you can't live without?

Plugins are a big part of why I and other Bubblers like Bubble, as it has almost everything you could possibly need.

So, how do we select the ones that we absolutely need when building a mobile/web app or a SaaS product on Bubble?

Here are 5 popular suggestions from the Bubble community:

  • API Connector
  • Toolbox plugin
  • Stripe.js
  • Air Date / Time Picker
  • SendGrid

A bubble user who is also a backend/java engineer has asked this in the Bubble forum. Since Bubble has such powerful features, it surprises me to discover it's not more popular in the no-code world. What might be the reason?

Some reasons why Bubblers think Bubble.io is not as popular as it should be:

  • Vendor lock-in. We don't get access to the source code.
  • No native support for mobile devices.
  • You cannot self-host.

A more plausible explanation for why Bubble was so unpopular is because it was a bootstrapped startup for 7 years before recently raising $6.25M in 2019.

Bubblers are also concerned with the branding of the service, starting with the brand name 'Bubble' itself. Join the discussion here. However, what do you think could be the reason? :)
